"Akihiko vs Cannons 3" is a 2D side-scrolling game that requires players to gather gold bars, dodge various obstacles such as cannon robots or flying bots, bullets, saws and spikes. The ultimate aim is to reach the yellow flag and progress onto the next level out of eight total levels. As you advance in-game, the difficulty also grows accordingly. There are six lives initially provided for each player who takes on this third sequel of "Akihiko vs Cannons".
